The office of the Wood County Prosecuting Attorney is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for our Criminal Division until 4:30 PM on Friday November 12, 2021. The successful applicant will be responsible for prosecuting all felony criminal matters in Wood County at preliminary hearings, grand jury, pretrials, and jury trials. The successful applicant will also advise all police agencies in the county on felony charging decisions. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, Juris Doctoral degree plus passing of the Ohio Bar examination supplemented by 3 years civil law, legal research, or litigation experience; Public law or county government experience is preferred; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Minimum starting salary is $28.67/hour, negotiable based on experience with full benefits including OPERS.

 

The office of the Wood County Prosecuting Attorney is accepting applications for a full-time Legal Secretary for our Juvenile Division until 4:30 PM on Monday November 8, 2021. The successful applicant will perform a variety of complex secretarial duties associated with maintenance and processing of records and legal forms/documents, scheduling appointments, case management, paralegal functions, typing, filing, and data entry. Minimum qualifications include a  high school diploma or GED, supplemented by vocational/technical legal secretarial training, a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Minimum starting salary is $18.26/hour, negotiable based on experience with full benefits including OPERS.
